Now alot of people say 9ice doesn't do Hip-Hop nad yeah they're probably right but hey MTV saw 9ice fit to be in the same ecategory as Lil Wayne at the just concluded MAMA's. 9ice ofcourse won the award does that mean he is hip-hop??(probably not)

Another song im feeling this week is Miss Independent by the very talented singer and writer...Ne-yo...I was priviledged to catch him at the ThisDay concert in Lagos and Ladies I must tell you, ne-yo has presence ...

Recently, he sued the management of R-Kelly for chucking him out of R-Kelly's tour...The reason he was chucked...apperentl he was stealing Mr Kellz shine...(Co'mon kelllz)...Anyway Ne-yo won the case and went away with thousand of dollars.....

The single called "Miss Independent" is of his third album "Year of The Gentleman" which came out sept. 16... Damn what a lucky guy!!!!!

Eldeee tha Don......Alwaya always been a huge fan of Eldee and the Trybe right from my days in Unilag.....

Trybes-men created the scene for Rap music in Naija and I know no one will ever forget most of their greatest hits......On this song he pairs up with the Yahoozee King Olu Maintain, Mr Capable Banky W and Del from Trybe Records.

My only but on the song is it doesn't sound as original as I would like it to be.....sounds too T.Iish......

WMA-Best Nigerian Artist?

(Fantastic website that has so much info that even I who has been in the entertainment mix didnt know about, although to be fair my new job doesn't give me much time)

I saw 2face at the departure Lounge en route South Africa a few ago (although I was in the regular lounge and he just came down from the VIP Lounge lol)...He was on the way to Monaco for the World Music Awards where he scooped 'The Best Nigerian Artist'



Now thats the issue "The Best Nigerian Artist:"

The only question for me when I saw the detials of the awards (check out all the details of Nominess & Winners on http://www.bellanaija.com) was why the heck was there a 'Best Nigeria Artist' category???

I mean if you look at the list of nominations, there is Best African award already why the Nigerian award?? Dont get me wrong its not like I mind that 2face won an award...I mean 2face is my guy and everythin but I just have to wonder dont I!!!

Maybe we should ask Kenny & D-one!!
